The opportunity
Retailers and marketplaces reach people close to a purchase. Much of that inventory is not offered in the open auction; it is sold through private and negotiated deals on the retailer’s terms.
A curated package brings suitable retail and commerce placements into one deal for a buyer, while the retailer keeps control of placements, pricing and eligible advertisers.

How curated PMP and PG deals work
The same five steps for every package; only the inventory and the audience change.
Represented inventory
Inventory that Vertoz represents for its publisher partners, on terms each publisher sets.
Curated package
Placements from one or several publishers grouped around an audience, context or moment.
Deal ID
The agreed package is set up as a private marketplace (PMP) or programmatic guaranteed (PG) deal and its ID shared with the buyer.
Activation
The buyer adds the deal ID in its own buying platform and bids or delivers against the agreed terms.
Delivery and reporting
Delivery is monitored, under-delivery is investigated, and results are reported against the deal.
Vertoz’s role
Vertoz represents publisher inventory to agencies, brands and programmatic buyers, and builds the packages that buyers ask for. It sets up the deal, helps the buyer activate it and monitors delivery.
Publishers keep control: floors, eligible advertisers and categories, and the placements offered remain their decisions. Vertoz does not guarantee that a package is available until it has been confirmed for the request.
For each request
- Availability checked across represented inventory
- Package defined with the buyer
- Deal set up as PMP or PG
- Delivery monitored and reported

Frequently asked questions
Who sets the price?
The retailer. Vertoz represents the inventory on the terms the retailer approves.
Is retail media inventory sold in the open auction?
Often not. Many retailers sell through private marketplace and negotiated deals only.
Is the inventory guaranteed?
Not until a package has been confirmed for your request. In a PMP, buyers bid and volume is not committed; in a programmatic guaranteed deal, price and volume are fixed once both sides agree.
